Today Mrs. Kelly, over at http://absolutehodgepodge.blogspot.com/, gave the party of the year! She hosted an exciting and fun filled Valentine's Day Party (a few days early) for all of our energetic and hardworking homeschoolers. (It was a much needed break.)
The kids made cute boxes to hold their cards, and played many exciting games that were planned and coordinated by one of our homeschool friends, Jenna, at http://diaryofahsmom.blogspot.com/. The efficient Jenna planned all of the games, and out of her very own toys or with her very own money, purchased the prizes for the winners of each game. Wow! That was a very generous thing to do. Thanks, Jenna.
The food was yummy...southwestern chicken salad sandwiches, Currie chicken salad sandwiches, fruit salad, yummy cupcakes and delicious muffins, homemade salsa, hummus, chips and dip and chicken nuggets...all of this topped off with the abundance of candy the kids managed to gather in their valentines! Both of my younguns were tired and ready to chill by the time we reached home.
Thank you Kelly and friends for such an enjoyable day!
On another note, today is Martin's 14th birthday. Happy Birthday, Martin!!!! I am very proud of you. You are a kind, generous, thoughtful and caring young man...also strong, cool and tough...and all that other stuff. I won't say too much on here as I know you will kill me if I do, but... I LOVE YOU!!!!!

Aww, shucks! I'm glad we were able to do it. :)
Happy Birthday, Martin. You are one cool kid.
Happy Birthday Martin!!!
Luv Auntie Kristi
Nekee,
Your children are so beautiful! Rayne looks so much like you in this picture, and Martin is so good looking - (what are you going to do when all the girls start chasing him around the church parking lot?)
Happy Birthday my little (now big) Mar-Mar!
What a great picture! We were talking on the way home about Martin saying "how nice he is, even to the younger kids". I told my kids I always want them to treat the younger ones like they're special- and not act like they're too cool to talk to them. I respect that about Martin. Glad we could share his special day!
We had a really great time too! I feel so blessed to have the support of such great families around me :)
